Is this the Tonight’s the Night of soul? A sprawling double LP’s worth of meandering jams on the verge of falling apart, re-titled run-throughs of tunes from earlier records and an oddly jubilant, giggling Charles Wright holding court over the whole affair. I’ve spun this one for years and still can’t wrap my head around it.
